Pet care experience
I’ve developed my pet sitting/boarding/housesitting business through Rover over the past 4+ years.
I love hosting dogs and cats in my Central Boulder home with a beautiful, fenced backyard.
I try to create a “Club Med” type experience for your pets and they get my one-on-one care for their entire stay.
My original plan was to pet sit/board for a while, figure out the best breed/size for me and find a great rescue to adopt.
I’ve ended up just loving being a pet sitter, caring for all types of dogs and appreciating the value of the service that that I provide the Boulder county area. I offer Pet Boarding, Daily/Weekly Walks and House Sitting services (fees below).
Our family home was like a zoo growing up. Lots of cats, dogs, hamster, guinea pigs, etc. We took care of our friends’ pets often and I’ve always had good pet mojo. I enjoy caring for different breeds of dogs.
I live by myself with no kids, roommates, or pets in my home. I’m focused on creating an outstanding, safe environment for your pet and only take one dog at a time to allow me to create that special bond. My backyard is completely fenced in with lots of green grass to run on and snow to roll around upon. It gives my pets that “Canine Club Mark ” feeling of doing whatever they want. I love their companionship and manage their activities…
Dog sitting/walking gives me an opportunity to play by creeks and lakes to help get my East coast water fix. The social aspect of meeting other dog owners and my neighbors is very rewarding for me. I am a self-employed ecommerce/video consultant and work from the home that I’ve owned in Boulder since 1992.
Some highlights you can expect at Canine Club Mark:
- Only one dog at a time; this is dedicated space for your one dog.
- No other pets, kids, roommates to impact them
- No Kennel cough, ever.
- Lots of photos and videos of your pet via text or What’s App if you are traveling out of US.
- If and when we go to some of my nearby water stashes, your dog gets a hand towel dried “spa treatment” before entering my vehicle/home.
- I treat my dogs like they are my own; socialize when appropriate; distance from other dogs when necessary; always shown with love and care.
- I only provide treats for performance and like to train my dogs as needed.Once we connect, it’s like their staying at their grandparents home. I like to plan things in advance whenever possible so please give me as much notice as possible. That said, I have bookings that cancel at last minute so keep me in mind for short notice stays. I am sparing with dog treats and consider myself to be a patient pet owner. My pets do really well here as evidenced by my positive reviews (below) and repeat clients.I would be happy to care for dog in my home or yours.SERVICES:Pet Boarding: $74/day – 3 day minimum – one dog only
House Sitting: $89/night – 3 day minimum – $53/additional dog
Dog Walking: $40 – $50/walk depending on length and frequency

We left our dog Buddy with Mark for 4 nights and I can truly say he had the BEST time! Mark is amazing. The way he genuinely cared for and loved Buddy was unlike any other pet sitting experience we have had before. Buddy got to experience so many trails and have play dates with other dogs (Mark will always make sure this is something you are comfortable with)! We will be returning clients of his 100% and if you are considering booking with him – DO IT! You will get pictures and messages and daily peace of mind knowing your dog is having a vacation just like you are when they are with Mark.

Rover needs an additional star because 5 isn’t enough for Mark. He did a masterful job listening and executing a wonderful week with Etta. He provided insightful updates and numerous photos and videos of their escapades. He truly was a joy to work with and Etta can’t wait to go back and hang with Mark.

Mark’s love of animals was clear as he spent a lot of time with us before our trip, learning about the medication and behavioral needs of our nervous older dog & 3 cats. We appreciated the many photos, videos and communication he sent during his stay at our house. He put time & energy into building good relationships with our animals who have a wide range of personalities and needs, and he left our home in great shape. I hope we can work with Mark again soon!

Mark is a fantastic and attentive dog sitter! He took the best care of my older pup while I was out of town. He was very communicative, and I looked forward to receiving his pictures and updates each day. You can tell that Mark truly cares for the dogs he watches as if they were his own. Mark was absolutely fantastic and spiky my lab with love, long walks, swimming and play sessions. Murphy felt right at home and a grand time with Mark. Mark provided a very comfortable stay and was transparent with his style and plans for the stay. I got a ton of pictures and video which was so fun! I would definitely recommend Mark ❤️

Mark was an amazing caretaker for our Husky. He was extremely responsive, communicative, and flexible with our changing schedule. We received many pictures a day, and know that our dog received the love, attention, and exercise he needed daily! We’ll definitely be working with Mark again.

Mark did an excellent job caring for our 1.5yo pup Benji. We got tons of updates of them on trails around town and playing fetch in the park or in the yard. When we got back from our trip we could tell he was really well cared for, we’re looking forward to boarding with Mark again!

Leaving our dog with Mark is like leaving her with family. Our old girl was cared for as if she was his own dog. Mark accommodated her mobility issues, moved her bed around so she could sleep in the sun, walked her twice a day and she even got massage to help her achy body. We appreciated the daily updates and photos Mark sent, highlighting the things he enjoys about our girl. We had peace of mind leaving our dog with Mark, knowing she was getting exceptional, loving care. We highly recommend Mark — give him a call if you want phenomenal pet care!

Mark is one of the top Rover’s that I have ever had. He takes our dog on outdoor adventures, and dedicates much time and energy to making sure my dog is happy and well taken care of. Mark was our first choice when we left our very energetic 14 month old labradoodle for the first time. He was great with his communication, asked questions and our dog loved him.
